Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
What are Salsa and Bachata?
Salsa and Bachata are vibrant, rhythmic partner dances known for their energetic movements and rich musicality. They are danced to a wide variety of Latin music, making them versatile and fun.
Do I need a partner?
No partner is necessary to join! Salsa and Bachata are partner dances, but during our classes, we encourage everyone to switch partners. This approach allows you to dance with multiple people, enhancing your learning experience and social interaction.
If you prefer not to switch partners and wish to dance only with the person you came with, that’s perfectly fine too! We understand and respect personal preferences and comfort levels.
Dancing with different partners is highly beneficial as it helps you develop your leading and following skills. Each dancer has a unique style and rhythm, which can greatly enhance your adaptability and proficiency. By experiencing different dance partners, you’ll become a more versatile and confident dancer, better equipped to handle a variety of social dance settings.
But I have two left feet/ I can't dance/ I have always sucked at dancing!
Then you’ve come to the right place! We are experts in helping you find your 'right' foot, and helping you discover your dance potential.
What To Bring
• Indoor shoes! (Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the studio.) Dance shoes, clean sneakers, or sock feet are fine.
• Water bottle.
• Deodorant/change of shirt (it might get warm!).
• No alcohol.
